Who We Are
The Illinois Municipal Police Association was created in 1996 with two main goals in mind – to represent the hardworking men and women of the Berwyn Police Department and to create a lasting bond with the community that we serve to protect on a daily basis.
We aim to provide the highest-quality police service possible by engaging with the community, emphasizing the highest degree of cooperation, professionalism and ethical behavior, and creating an atmosphere of safety and security.
Our association has proudly served the community of the City of Berwyn for the last three decades and we look forward to serving for many more. We are committed to creating a safe and secure atmosphere that generations for years to come will be able to enjoy.

Our Mission
The purpose of the Illinois Municipal Police Association Berwyn Local #1 is to support our members in all legal endeavors, ensure that Berwyn Police Officers have the tools and resources needed to effectively protect our community, and give back to the local organizations that strive to make the City of Berwyn a better place.
